Overview

Global responsibility to facilitate performance discussions and influence decision making on mail operation through building strategic relationships with Local Station and Cargo Operations leaders, Sales Management and Vendor Leadership in all regions and at HQ level.

Provide the operational tools and support to the cargo division to enable them to meet cargo revenue and profitability (volume/yield/cost) targets.

Provide the tools and support to the Division Operations team to enable them to meet or exceed customer operational expectations, cargo operational goals, government regulatory guidelines, and security/safety guidelines. Support includes coaching, training, mentoring, transparency, accountability, prioritization, root cause and trend analysis, onsite support and communication.

Position has project sponsorship responsibilities to drive continuous improvement of operational processes, reporting and metrics. Projects include facility planning, contract strategy, station startups and transitions, technology implementation, capital procurement, and training and audit development and implementation.

Responsibilities

· Performance Oversight: Influence global performance improvement via multiple regional performance cargo managers, internal/external cross functional teaming; facilitate and enable accountability/transparency/prioritization of cargo strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations; ensure regulatory, security, safety requirements are met

· Partner with Sales, Cargo and Airport Operations Senior Leadership: Partner with sales and AO to prioritize, strategize and drive implementation of continuous improvement initiatives

· Oversight of trend analysis, system/region/station performance and driving performance with internal/external senior leadership

· Regulatory Compliance: Drive policy and lead cargo multi-country managers to ensure regulatory organizations including QA, IA, DG Safety, and Security to ensure that cargo process, policy and procedure and stations are compliant with regulatory requirements

· Continuous Improvement: Conceptualize and drive contract, regional or station specific operations projects focused on influencing continuous improvement in the areas of warehouse processes, facility planning, vendor processes, service level agreements, metrics, reporting and tools, contract strategy, station startups and transitions, technology implementation, capital procurement, and training and audit development and implementation

Education

· Bachelor's Degree required, in Industrial Engineering preferred

· Graduate degree preferred

Certification

· Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred

Knowledge/Skills

Required

· Process Improvement and/or Continuous Improvement experience

· Experience in Operations, Finance, Team or Vendor Management

· Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)

· Proficient in Microsoft Suite products

Experience

· 5+ years' experience in operations, finance and/or organizational leadership preferred

· Aviation experience, but can be compensation by other relevant experience preferred

· Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

· Travel required 50% - 65%
