Technical Operations/Maintenance

Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Job overview and responsibilities

The Manager-Business Analytics is responsible for identifying insights derived from data analysis and developing analytical capabilities to support the Supply Chain organization initiatives. Manager will furnish business with descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics to guide better business decisions. Manager is accountable for identifying business improvement opportunities in different parts of the supply chain to improve efficiency, service levels and to reduce cost.

  • Identifies supply chain decision and process improvement opportunities through analysis with the team

  • Develops analytical capabilities that support business needs in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

  • Supports strategic supply chain initiatives with analysis accompanied by actionable recommendations

  • Ensures alignment and prioritization with business objectives and initiatives. Helps business owners make faster and better decisions

  • Mentors team to develop in their roles and skillsets

  • Develops project plans and ensures timely project completion

  • Continuously improves the analytical capabilities of the Supply Chain organization


  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as math, statistics, operations research or engineering

  • Understanding of supply chain operations, planning and management

  • Four years(4) of experience in an analytics or process improvement-oriented role in supply chain, aviation, manufacturing, or related industry

  • Understanding of supply chain functions including sourcing/procurement, vendor management, inventory planning, warehousing and logistics

  • Experience using Industrial Engineering techniques in improving decisions or processes

  • Familiarity with Line and Base maintenance planning and operations

  • Knowledge of relational database models and SQL

  • Familiarity with supply chain models

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience communicating and visualizing complex analysis results to business leaders

  • Ability to identify opportunities in existing processes where analytical insights support quality/service level improvement and/or cost reduction opportunities

  • Exhibits an analytical approach to problem solving with attention to detail and a sense of urgency

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position


  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as math, statistics, data science/machine learning, operations research and/or MBA

  • Experience in operations research, industrial engineering or related field involving solving complex business problems

  • Familiarity with ERP capabilities

  • Experience developing and deploying models using programming languages such as R, Python

  • Experience with development of simulation and optimization models

  • Airline experience

  • Supply chain experience

  • Project management experience

  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies

  • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification

  • Strong background in one or more supply chain functions

  • Familiarity with Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) functions

  • Familiarity with the airline industry

  • Background in agile project management methodologies

  • Programming experience in a scripting language such as Python, R

  • Experience with developing simulation techniques (i.e., Monte Carlo, discrete event simulation)

  • Knowledge of data science and machine learning techniques

  • Experience with analytical model development and deployment in a related business area

  • Familiarity with optimization modeling tools and techniques

  • Familiarity with Line and Base Maintenance Planning

  • Familiarity with MRO planning
