Job overview and responsibilities
• Provide coherent technology strategies and durable reference architectures for all Enterprise Voice, Video, and other Unified Communications technologies.
• Maintain constant visibility of market technology and user trends, and influence vendors' roadmaps to prioritize features important to the Company's strategic objectives
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and other IT workgroups on strategies and architectures that provide a clear value proposition for the Company and that satisfy business needs
• Perform development lab work to explore new Unified Communications technologies and to validate reference architectures
• Define and document product lifecycle strategies, technology standards, and best-practice reference architectures
• Partner with Engineering and Operations workgroups for knowledge transfer on new technologies and to ensure successful implementation of strategic projects
Required
Bachelor's Degree
At least 10 years experience architecting large scale enterprise-wide IP telephony networks
At least 10 years experience architecting large scale enterprise voice networks QOS, LAN WAN interfaces and UCCE components
At least 10 years implementing and/or administering Cisco IPT, UM, and video solutions
CCNP Voice
Subject Matter Expert level knowledge of Cisco's Unified Communications suite for voice and video collaboration
Strong practical knowledge of IPTrade Turret Communications systems
Thorough understanding of Information Security best practices and compliance requirements for securing real-time communications
Thorough understanding of QoS best practices and implementation fundamentals
Thorough understanding of common call control protocols such as SIP, H.323, and SCCP
Extensive experience implementing and/or administering Cisco VoIP/IPT and messaging solutions
Extensive experience defining, configuring, and troubleshooting QoS mechanisms in mixed-use networks which include real-time voice and video traffic
Practical experience securing IP voice communications
Practical experience designing and implementing SIP trunking solutions
Substantial experience evaluating new technologies and validating reference topologies in a lab environment
Strong technical writing and drawing skills, with the ability to effectively whiteboard complex technical topologies
The ability to concisely present complex concepts to a broad audience with varying technical competencies
Extensive experience whiteboarding complex technical concepts both with technical peers and for educating less technical audiences
Extensive experience producing detailed and professional technical documents describing standards, architectures, or designs
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
Airline experience
CCIE Voice
ACS or higher
Strong knowledge of Cisco UCCE and other contact center systems
Broad experience in various technologies
SharePoint power user
Working knowledge of TOGAF Enterprise Architecture methodology
Substantial experience with large scale conferencing systems
