Job overview and responsibilities

This is a hands-on management position responsible for driving United's End Point technology space and actively collaborating with sister teams and business partners. This includes working with IT Infrastructure, Security, and end-user support (FTTS/FSD). The Sr. Manager of Enterprise EndPoint Engineering will be proactive and seek opportunities for efficiencies, value‐adds, opportunities to enhance the end user experience. And contributes and achieves results for United as a coach/ player to the EEE/Citrix IT staff. Responsible for leading and managing a team of IT professionals including vendors and the overall Endpoint IT technical environment. Key contributor to strategic plans and/or operational programs.

  • Actively coach and meet with team members as appropriate to ensure deliverables are complete, accurate and on time

  • Seek out cost savings by working with his team, colleagues, and business partners

  • Lead or support cross-functional team(s) for major company initiatives and projects

  • Drive his teams, projects, tasks and related issues through effective communication, team meetings and documentation

  • Prepare and deliver various engineering-related presentations, both internally and externally

  • Ensure documentation is complete, up to date, and published

Required

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or related field experience

  • 7-10 years managing large teams in IT Engineering and/or Operations in an Enterprise environment

  • Microsoft SCCM, Group Policy, Mobile Device Management, User Profiles

  • Superior aptitude for critical thinking and ability to navigate complex business and technology topics and issues with a focus on developing solutions that achieve business results

  • Excellent organizational, project management and work flow coordination skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines; deliver comprehensive programs within established timeline and budget

  • Ability to synthesize complex information; have the intuition and resourcefulness to gather and incorporate dependable data, facts and other information from multiple internal and external sources in a highly efficient manner; and develop messages and materials that support established business objectives

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • 10+ years managing large teams in IT Engineering and/or Operations in an Enterprise environment

  • Windows Desktop Engineering experience

  • Strong knowledge of and proven track record implementing internal/employee communications and engagement best practices and technologies to improve business results

  • Quickly master relevant industry and company information

  • Exceptional business writing and editing skills
