Job overview and responsibilities

The digital marketing team at United Airlines focuses on driving flight revenue and changing behaviors across paid channels. Through hyper focused acquisition campaigns, we target in market travelers to choose United when they are planning their next trip. We are a quick to market team that builds the strategy from the ground up and executes this strategy across paid social, display, and search.

The role requires a strong understanding of marketing & advertising, paired with a deep understanding of the paid social media and display space. To be successful in this role, the analyst must be a trusted touch point with our internal cross-functional teams, platform, and agency partners regarding campaign strategy and performance. This candidate will also be hands on keyboard, launching all United’s paid social acquisition campaigns while still coordinating the paid display strategy with our agency.

  • Oversee strategy, planning and Execution of paid social campaigns that meet and exceed digital marketing KPIs

  • Provide subject matter expertise and tactical, data-driven strategic recommendations across all paid social platforms to digital marketing managers

  • Lead digital marketing campaign execution liaising between cross-functional teams including Sales, Advertising, PRM, Network Planning and Corp Comm

  • Monitor daily campaign pacing; pull, analyze and leverage insights to identify optimization opportunities and implement enhancements

  • Build relationships with core partners, stay up-to-date with platform changes, and act as a trend-spotter to bring first-to-market paid social opportunities

Required

  • 2+ years of social media and display planning, analytics, and insights experience, preferably within the travel vertical

  • Experience in launching paid marketing across Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Snapchat

  • Computer skills

  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel usage

  • Knowledge of a variety of social and display insight methodologies and their applications

  • A collaborative teammate and self-starter with the knack to pivot in a constantly evolving environment

  • Passionate about marketing, emerging media, technology, and the travel industry

  • Result-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in either Public Relations, English Writing, Marketing, or Communications

  • Airline or transportation industry experience

  • Experience in launching SkAdNetwork campaigns & knowledgeable of Apple iOS 14 privacy updates

  • Ability to prepare executive level presentations
