Role Overview

Responsible for ensuring successful execution and management of the sourcing and recruiting processes necessary to fill open or anticipated positions. Provide leadership, coaching and direction to team of recruiters. Manage third-party vendors to ensure adherence to service level agreements and delivery of timely processing for candidates. Guide and develop tools and techniques to facilitate staffing and placement needs with best-in-class recruitment and selection practices.

  • Ensures the establishment of a sourcing network, including campus, individuals, agencies, online advertisers

  • Oversees and supports the sourcing, interview, and selection processes for field positions.

  • Oversee and support the corporate recruitment process including sourcing strategy, interview and selection of candidates

  • Partner with business clients and HR to ensure effective workforce planning

  • Keep up-to-date with current employment legislation; apprise/train staff and hiring managers as appropriate

  • Provide leadership and manage recruitment staff (conduct performance reviews, develop staff, provide coaching and daily work direction)

  • Support and guide recruiters to fill vacancies; provide counsel in determination of job offer details, negotiations and preparation of new hire offers

  • Evaluate recruitment program effectiveness; develop and administer customer satisfaction surveys

  • Integrates information gained about the candidate(s) and decides whether or not to extend a job offer.

  • Activities may include reviewing test data, interviewer's recommendations or leading/participating in selection decision-making meetings for internal teams.

  • May facilitate the placement of qualified candidates.

  • Review department metrics/dashboards and conduct internal audits to ensure equitable/quality of work processes

  • Direct smooth transition to corporate onboarding program

  • Develops recruiting tools and techniques to assist United in meeting staffing and placement needs.

  • Maintains complete and accurate staffing documentation as required by law.

  • Manage vendors to determine adherence to SLAs

  • Ensure effective tracking, monitor and compliance oversight of immigration program

  • Other duties as assigned

This position is offered on local terms and conditions within United’s wholly owned subsidiary United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources or related field

Knowledge/Skills

  • Measurement, Assessment, and Evaluation skills

  • Must be Customer Focused

  • Relationship Building skills

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

  • Internet savvy and technical ability to utilize applicant tracking systems

  • Must be able to effectively manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment

Experience

  • Ten (10) or more years HR experience, with at least seven (7) years of recruiting experience in India

  • Comprehensive understanding of staffing, recruiting and operations practices, programs, and plans

  • Comprehensive knowledge of staffing and recruiting program administration

  • Thorough understanding of federal and state laws and regulations relating to employment and Industry

  • HR Service Delivery. Organizational interdependencies, interfaces and processes

  • 2 years prior experience leading a team

Other

  • Approximately 4-6 weeks of travel to US in a yearrequired

  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer withoutsponsorship
