Job overview and responsibilities

The Senior Data Integration Developer plays a crucial role in leading the development of high-performing and large-volume applications. This individual will create and maintain the strategic partnership between business needs and technology delivery. Role will focus on using the agile method to plan, design, develop and launch efficient systems and solutions in support of core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues, opportunities or problems in order to maximize the benefit of IT and Business investments. The Senior Developer will be expected to take on a leadership role.

  • Lead the software development team(s) during the design/build/test phases on multiple complex projects that require subject matter expertise

  • Provide architectural direction for the IBM Integration Bus (Message Broker) environment with other architects on the team

  • Provide direction, tools, technical support and process support to less senior developers

  • Support and troubleshoot software systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions

  • Develop appropriate software documentation

Required

  • BS/BA (preferably in a technical or scientific field) and/or equivalent work experience

  • Effective Communication skills (verbal + written)

  • Understands Technology systems & applications

  • Exceptional at the following:

  • SDLC processes, inputs/outputs, standards and best practices

  • Coding and on time delivery of quality components and or applications with minimal supervision

  • Development methodologies, software design and design patterns, integration standards as well as its applicability at coding and testing cycles

  • Utilizing the technologies and domain knowledge with the delivery of developed components or integrated components

  • Working problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires review of a variety of factors

  • Effective participant of requirements gathering, requirements analysis

  • Excel at applications and component design following a prescribed architecture and technology footprint

  • Application architecture and architecture constructs as it connects to the enterprise architecture

  • Willing and able to travel as needed for business required (up to 15%)

  • 6 + years of experience in application design, development, installation and modification

  • 6 + years working with IBM WebSphere Integration Bus (Message Broker) and IBM MQ

  • 3 + years of hands-on experience with configuring and administrating IBM WebSphere SOA Appliances - Datapower

Experience working with:

  • Web Services test tools, XMLSpy, and RFHUtil

  • Linux/UNIX

  • Agile Methodologies

  • Databases, such as SQL Server, Oracle or DB2

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Good Agile Software Development Principals (Required but won't fit in the screen next door - ran out of room)
