Airport Operations

The Airport Operations department keeps operations at our airports running smoothly through planning, organization and supervision.

Job overview and responsibilities

Assists managers, supervisors and front-line agents by performing administrative activities and functions including, but not limited:

  • Scheduling

  • Payroll/eTA , accounts payable, report preparation, wellness administration

  • Safety and OJI reporting and tracking

  • Airport and governmental reports, employee badging

  • Record retention and process implementation to ensure compliance with SAQ and other audit requirements

  • Financial planning and analysis

  • Contract oversight

  • Event planning, and other tasks to support local station leadership and employees

The primary responsibilities of this specific posting are equivalent to a grade level 8 position at a Hub.

  • Provides support for station frontline employees & general manager that includes answering general office questions, payroll, and scheduling issues; duties also include support for badging requirements, gathering documents for performance & wellness events, and interpretation of contract on an ad hoc basis

  • Processes & corrects documents related to exceptions in time & attendance systems to accurately reflect payroll for frontline employees

  • Creates reports such as landing fee report, daily ops report, and 30 other reports used by general managers, supervisors, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) to make decisions

  • Processes accounting invoices for station expenses such as customer service vouchers (CSVs) & vendor invoices

  • Reconciles general ledger (G/L) line items on monthly basis and providing estimated expenses to financial planning and analysis (FP&A)

  • Manages office supplies (including purchasing), plans office events, and organizes general meetings

  • Responsible for ordering supplies, including reconciliation & follow-up, for United and Business Partner operations


  • High School diploma, GED or education equivalent

  • 2-4 years of experience in an administrative role

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office primarily Excel, Outlook, and Word

  • Ability to maintain composure in high volume/high pressure situations

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position


  • Experience in Accounting, bookkeeping or cash handling

  • Proficient using Microsoft Teams

  • Experience with Payroll and event planning is a plus
